Therapy that adapts to how you’re wired
Creating a neuro-affirming therapy space for you
I am particularly passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients.
Neurodivergent people are far more likely to experience anxiety due to having to experience a world that has not been designed for you and your beautiful brain. Navigating both anxiety and neurodivergence can lead to:
Never ending self-doubt and comparison to others
Constantly questioning your own judgement
Sensory overwhelm that feels impossible to come down from
Sensitivity to rejection that feels physically painful
Fear of getting it wrong that overtakes day-to-day decision making and leads to avoidance
Catching yourself in intense negative thought cycles
Exhaustion from having to hide behind a mask of ‘normal’
Over reliance on external reassurance
So, whether you are diagnosed, self-identified, or just wondering. You are welcome here.
What does neuro-affirming therapy with me look like?
Sessions are tailored to work with your strengths and techniques adapted to your neurodivergent brain. I use a range of therapeutic approaches and tools to ease your anxiety and build your confidence and self-esteem while we’re doing it; learning to finally embrace your unique and individual self. Having trained in traditional talking therapy, alongside CBT and third-wave CBT (including ACT) AND coaching, I am uniquely placed to support you.
Through therapy and coaching, you can move from where you are now, to this:
A deeper understanding of yourself and your anxiety
Saying yes to what you want to do without feeling dread and sensory overwhelm
More compassion for yourself; noticing what’s happening before it leads to meltdown and burnout
Self-belief and confidence that you are enough
More energy to do what you love
Nothing about you needs fixing, but your experience needs understanding
Striving to meet your specific preferences and ways of working wherever I can
As a neuro-affirming therapist and coach, I will strive to meet your specific preferences and ways of working wherever I can. Including:
Direct questions and clear literal language
No expectations about contact
Movement is welcome – bring your sensory tools and fidget as much as you need
The choice of online sessions from your own space, or over the phone if this is your preference
